Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech - Tinghir
Your shared 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga will start early in the morning. Head to Ait Benhaddou through the Tizi Ntichka pass and the high Atlas Mountains. Make many stops along the way. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, which also served as a set for various Hollywood blockbusters. Continue to Ouarzazate and Kasbah Taourirte before lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Tinghir via the Valley of the Roses before you reach your hotel located in Tinghir. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tinghir – Merzouga
After breakfast at your hotel in Tinghir, your journey will start today with a drive along the road of 1001 Kasbah to the Oasis of Tinghir, where you will deviate to a minor road driving along the river to Todra canyons.
After some time at leisure to enjoy the immensity of the huge cliffs, and lunch at a local café (at your leisure), continue early in the afternoon to Erfoud, famous for its date market, and a starting point of the ancient trading caravans crossing the Sahara desert to Tombouctou.
Continue to Merzouga driving through some rocky desert landscape. Upon arrival at the edge of Erg Chebbi dunes, meet your camel caravan, and ride your camels through the amazing color-changing dunes with the sunset on the horizon as a backdrop. Reach your Sahara Desert camp, nestled in the middle of nowhere just before darkness.
After some time to admire the dunes and the surrounding landscapes, get ready for a Moroccan dinner served under the stars next to a campfire. Late at night, enjoy Berber music with the local hosts playing drums.
Day 3: Merzouga – Marrakech
After an early breakfast and a camel ride back to the main road, meet your driver and head back to Marrakech. Enjoy lunch on the road as you pass the Valley of Roses, and continue through the high atlas mountains to Marrakech. Finish your desert tour in Marrakech around 8 PM.

5Trip by itself is amazing, well planned and everything. Guides and the driver were so nice and friendly. But the thing I didnt like were the prices of the lunch on our way to the desert. Very much to peel off the tourists (not worth the money considering the prices in Marrakesh, portion sizes,…). The camp in the desert (standard one) could be a little bit cleaner (toilets). To sum it up.. if you buy your trip here, you will overpay it for for almost a double. So i do now recommend it to buy it here. Buy it in Marrakesh when you arrive or within your riad. Domestic tour agency has nothing to do with getyourguide overpriced trips.
5This was the trip of my life. I will always keep the memories. Great organisation. Very complete programm. Youssef, our driver, was very professional and all the group was very happy. Great valur for money considering all that includes. I recommend it for all my friends now. You must make this once in your life.
5I recently went on the Merzouga tour and it was an incredible experience. The camel trekking through the desert was a highlight for me, as I got to witness the stunning landscapes and feel the serenity of the desert. The visit to the Berber village was also fascinating, as I learned about their culture and way of life. The Todra Gorge was absolutely breathtaking, with its towering cliffs and crystal-clear water. Spending a night in the desert camp was a magical experience, especially watching the sunset and stargazing at night. Overall, I highly recommend the Merzouga tour for anyone looking for an adventure in the beautiful Moroccan desert.
5Escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and embark on an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of Morocco with the 3-day, 2-night tour to Merzouga. From start to finish, this tour exceeded my expectations in every way possible.
The tour began with a comfortable and scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains, where we were greeted by breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and traditional Berber villages. Our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Ahmed, provided us with insightful commentary about the history and culture of the region, making the journey all the more engaging.
As we arrived in the Sahara Desert, we were welcomed by the warm hospitality of our hosts at the Merzouga Desert Camp. The camp was a true oasis in the middle of the desert, complete with luxurious tents, delicious meals, and mesmerizing entertainment under the stars.
One of the highlights of the tour was our camel ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where we witnessed the most incredible sunset over the vast Sahara. It was a surreal and unforgettable experience that left us feeling humbled and inspired.
Overall, the tour was a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. The impeccable service and attention to detail by the tour company, iCloud Imitions, made the trip even more enjoyable and stress-free. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Morocco.
Thank you for your glowing review. We strive to provide our guests with a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. Thank you again for choosing us and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable tour in Morocco soon!
